DeepSign selected as digital signature solution for Canton of St. Gallen
8 April 2025
For the first time, DeepCloud took part in the eGovernment Forum as a Platinum Sponsor. The event serves as an ideal meeting point for IT service providers and public institutions to discuss the future of digital transformation
How Switzerland is driving the digitalisation of public administration through eID, digital signatures, and AI solutions was showcased at this year’s Swiss eGovernment Forum, held in collaboration with DeepCloud.
The event kicked off with the Federal Government presenting the groundbreaking topic of eID.
eID and trust infrastructure
Switzerland’s official electronic identity is scheduled for launch in 2026 and is currently in the beta phase. Although the eID does not enable direct signing, it is being used by DeepCloud to simplify onboarding processes. When combined with DeepID and DeepSign, qualified electronic signatures can be realised.
Digital delivery platforms
Presentations from the Cantons made it clear that digital delivery is a key topic. The goal is to enable legally binding digital document delivery between authorities, citizens, and other stakeholders. Various regions are pursuing portal-based solutions to ensure simple and secure digital communication.
The future of signatures in administrative procedures
Michael Keller, Head of E-Government for the City of Zurich, outlined how eGovernment and the role of digital signatures are evolving. By January 2026, all administrative procedures must be offered electronically. With the introduction of digital delivery platforms, seals are becoming increasingly important and are automatically applied to documents. DeepCloud is supporting the city in achieving full implementation over the next nine months.
Solution presentations: Efficiency with DeepServices
Maurin Büche and Mario Göldi demonstrated how DeepO and the latest technologies are automating document processing in cities. Previously, processing a single document cost 9 CHF; with DeepO, the cost is now no more than 0.50 CHF.
Jürg Stricker and Kevin Forster presented how AI, combined with DeepServices and Abacus Intelligence, is making everyday tasks easier. Time tracking and holiday bookings can be managed using voice commands in Swiss German via AbaClik. AI delivers rapid insights based on ERP data and supports decision-making. They also demonstrated how the AI assistant can automatically create a training agreement and send it via DeepSign – all controlled via voice in Swiss German.
DeepCloud offers the right solutions to help drive digital transformation in collaboration with public institutions.
Many thanks to Swiss eGovernment for the event – until next time!
